Was able to get a room at the Hampton Inn in Carlisle for Friday night. I will be there Friday and Saturday. Wagon registered too. Will have club tent setup.
See you there

Yep.  It rained pretty hard Thursday night, but it was done by the morning.  When we got to the show field it was surprisingly dry - just a few puddles here and there.  No rain for the rest of the weekend, although it was a tad chilly with the breeze when clouds occasionally blocked the sun.  Definitely a good weekend to drive a car without A/C. Even then, it was deceptively sunny and a lot of folks got sunburn.

Tony, you weren't the only one to chicken out - Irv left the 1800 at home and drove a XC60 loaner from Volvo.

That was no loaner - that's the car Volvo gave Irv for hitting 3 mil.

Tony, I talked to a number of people who asked me why VSA wasn't present.  We really should have had a tent there.  Sorry you couldn't make it, but the rain really wasn't a big problem this year - it passed through before all the fun started.  If anything, WIND was a bigger problem on Saturday - a few people didn't secure their ez-ups in the camping area and went home with damaged ez-ups - luckily I heard the flying structures didn't hit any cars!

(And I'm one of those people who got a little sunburned...)

I suspect it's still titled in Volvo's name, or maybe listed as a lease - they were having problems registering/titling it.  It's not often cars go from a corporation to a customer, without a dealer in the middle.  (See Tesla's difficulties in NJ with that issue...)  I noticed the NJ plates when he first got it over the winter.  Apparently it sat in the lot at Rockleigh for a while, it sounded like Irv was getting a bit frustrated with the delay...

Well, many people asked me why there was no VSA presence...

BTW, you can see Ian's 64 Mini in the slideshow that autoweek did:
